Would have been nice to try to capture CZ's jaw line as well. Would have been a bit more recognizable that way. Very nice blend though!

This should do quite well in the contest. Nice job! Something else you could have done... would have been to remove the other poles and power lines... but looks great this way too.

Good start on the shadow, now hit it with a LITTLE G.Blurr, then use the quick mask and make a gradient selection on the shadow, with the strongest part of the selection furthest from the sign. Now G. Blurr stronger, and the shadow will diffuse as it gets further from the sign. Also reduce the contrast of the ground right under the shadow so the pebbles flatten out a little. Help?
