I love the color scheme and the different uses of crystal in this. It makes for a really great image with surface details that you just want to stop and look at. The creature seems to be just a head, but otherwise I find myself spending more time looking at this then others because of the wonderful crystal surfaces

The detail of the driver is fantastic! Really adds that little bit of oomph to the image!

Ahhh Windows. Full of all kinds of crap you don't need, and so complicated, you can never find the darned knife when you want it

THat's funny, my 6 year old Mac Pro with four processors, 9 gigs of ram, and 3 hard drives seems a lot mightier then most fresh off the shelf new pcs :)

It seems more of a realization than a reinvention. A more prominent stylized characteristic would help pull this towards that goal

The beard looks great, but his hut seems cut off. I assume there's a hat beneath, but it could more more lightening to create enough contrast to show it's there

Hilarious! Love the Santa but I don't understand why is isn't underneath ready to come up and devour? The original underwater scene would likely have been move effective

I am really loving your continued use of a fuller female form. It's tickles me happy to see you don't follow the trend of impossibly porportioned women :)

I know it's nitpicky, but the scratches on the chest lack any depth, and seem instead to float above the image. Some inner shading would help solidify them, along with a very slight highlight on the skin edges to indicate a slight raise. Otherwise a nice image with a good dose of feeling behind it

A nice overall great looking image but it's hard to overlook the odd length of her neck, and the rather unfinished look for the right leg. It's a shame the details of the flesh don't match the more careful details of the clothing and accessories. I think more time devoted to adding the careful precision present in those parts to the hair and some other areas would really make this stand out more prominently.

Ambitious project, but the woman seems to not quite fit into the image. She is so differently lit from the rest of the image, and doesn't quite fit in with the motif. Had it just been the snail I think it would have been more effective.

Superb lighting on this one, I had expected it to take first, if not top three. The lighting is complex but nicely seamless.

Granted, there are some lighting cues on the buildings that indicate more then one light source, but overall, the image works really well and packs a punch

Shame this wasn't doing better, it's a great comp, but the overblown highlights on the dog don't match the general lighting of the background. Rather then try to remove those highlights, you could always add some overblown whites into the background to indicate the strong light source.

Great idea, find I find the image hard to believe. The ant doesn't see to be in the sight of the cat, where it's looking, and the colors could be more suited to the evident brown tint in the cat image, both in terms of shadows, and a brightening of the ant and addition of a little color to reflect the dark areas on the cat, like the tail, where it's not truly black, but appears more brown with light delicate highlights, and more softness rather than the harsher sharpening on the ant.

Love this. Simple but so effective!
