Maximilian, for the metal effects I used some photoshop filters, like lighting effects, also layer styles, channels and adjustment layers, and some other stuff I don't remember.. just tried it out until it looked like what I wanted.

As an illustration its pretty nice, but as a logo, it would be unable to read when reduced.

actually, the door, the keyhole and the handle are from different images, so i put them together in photoshop, then i put the copyright symbol on the handle.
