Congratulations Pixey!!! So beautiful. Great colors (haha - we think alike... is that scary, lol?) What a well deserved score, too!!

Beautiful makeup! I also like the dress color. The fur/black areas seem uncolored though, and could benefit from a touch of yellow or red to tie into the warm lighting that's represented in the rest of the image.

Love the mood you've created with the light modes. her skin just glows. Some of the colors seem a little flat. And overall it's a little too cool in tone for my taste, but it is quite striking. Love that vase.

I love the painterly treatment you've given this. Brings a very sentimental feeling to an otherwise desperate situation. Nice job.

Nice start. Very challenging photo! It still has a bit of a blue cast to it. Try bringing in overall yellow tones to warm it up - either with a curves layer or a color balance layer with highlights and/or midtones bumped up in the yellow and red areas.

I wish there was more detail in the subject matter to show your skills. I really like the variation in the building light, which shows you do have a great eye for details. But even if this was an original color photo, there's not that much variation in color to really make a "wow" statement. Still, very solid work!

Very nice! The bold colors are perfect - not too bright but varied and appropriate. His skin subtleties are really well done too. My favorite so far. :)

Nice color choices. The green gloves are a neat touch. The whole scene looks a little too dark.

Love the drapes! Makeup looks great. Santa's beard needs a little more creamy color, I think.

Lovely vibrant red on santa's suit! Wish the drapes had more color on them.

Thanks for the comments! :)

And for the first one, it made me chuckle... do you expect a slug to be bread, or a catepillar to be ham, then, I suppose? The whole point of the contest is the unexpected. ;)

Amazing job! I can't tell where the slug starts and the bread begins. Great source matching. :)

Amazing, Mitch! If I'd been able to get in last night, this would have gotten a 9 from me. I'm sorry it didn't place higher!

Congrats BSA! I don't know how I missed this one in the contest - would have surely been a 10 from me.
