Geez... I've always thought that being a plumber would be the worst possible job anyone could have. This shot proves it!

Yeah, you were definitely WAY too close. ;) Glad you lived to tell the tale! I love the way you captured its wrinkly skin.

Neat photo -- but doesn't quite get across the extra large theme. :(

Nice shot but most of it's overexposed. Here's what you could've done in this situation: you got your exposure values from the little rock spire in the foreground. Since it was darker than much of the rest of the picture (see the line of shadow behind it?), it exposed fine, but the rest of the photo was blown out. If you'd taken a light reading from the sky and the lighter parts of the scene and used it, the spire and the shadowy parts would've been silhouetted, which might've worked nicely. Or you could've tried for an exposure somewhere between the two light readings -- getting a more even exposure across the whole scene. Or all three, and just pick the best version. :) (Hope this makes sense.)

This appears to be a gorgeous shot -- I just wish I could see it larger. (Please consider making the width of your entries at least 500 pixels.)

I honestly am not sure what I'm seeing here -- paper clips? a big trombone and a little one? I like the shot quite a bit but don't get how it conveys the extra-large them -- only the comparative sizes.
