The grain-- is the textured wall. People are too used to paper.

Seems a bit over lit in parts, otherwise nice...good coulours and shapes.

Sorry...think the lighting and focus could be improved. A very central composition.

Typical still life...what is that? The definition is broader than you might think. The distracting white bit is called a vase.

What you think needs compressing is a textured wall in the background and the varied natural textures patterns and colours in the flowers. That is how it is supposed to look.
