I think this picture achieves a visual balance using the rule of thirds both horizontally and vertically.
This is a photo of night fishermen. They walk out along the break-wall and sit at the very point. There are 3 prominent intersections of the lines of third at work here ... horizon, the vertical boundary between the break-wall and the rocks, and the positioning of the FISHERMEN at the tip where the lines converge.It is a 30 second exposure, with only the lights to the left illuminating the photo. This accounts for the misty look, as the waves crashed over the rocks. The low light also makes it look like a painting.Please.. Please... Please... If you will, take the time to view full.
