I thought an old fashioned japanese ukiyo-e ("floating world") painting was the proper background for this sushi boat. The original is by Katsushika Hokusai.
An old japanese parchment depicting a young woman preparing the banner for an upcoming sushi festival in her hometown. No, really. :-)
In honour of the nursery rhyme ... (if you don't remember how it goes here is a link -http://www.nonsenselit.org/Lear/ns/pussy.html This was a spur of the moment idea, I think I got a little carried away! :D Lots of (tiny) detail pertinent to the rhyme, PLEASE :) view full!. Thanks to SXC for the owl, cat & moon. C. Andrade, Jr- 1917 for the sail. The rest is my work/photo's. SOURCE IMAGES
