I love how the striations in the sand, the placement of the stones and the low clouds induce a zoom effect that draws my eye to the breaking wave.

I wanted to give it a pesimistic atmosphere. You know, ...the ugly hush before the storm...
and please view full, the compression tortures it

I enjoyed the original, and felt that what was needed most was simply a boost in the color fidelity.
My version stays true to the original, and doesn't go too far off the deep-end of Photoshop corrections...
