There was an obvious temptation to use 3 animals under a beach umbrella on a deserted island, facing a turquoise sea. I decided to only partly embrace that theme, because I assume EVERY contestant will see and portray that obvious connection between the 5 words.Instead, this entry shows the deserted island beach, turquoise ocean, and umbrella... but only as part of a larger theme.The larger theme is "when the going gets wrong, the righteous get out." I decided to show the 4 "horsemen" of the Apocalypse (chess knights), 3 of them in cerebral, unnatural, paranoid machinations, lined up in a pattern that blots out a naturalistic, happy setting (a deserted beach and turquoise ocean). The 4th "horseman", though, has deserted. He's a conscientious objector, and thus abandoned the activity in favor of embracing the happy, natural setting.
