Little Worthling, now fourteen
Still you do not suck.
It’s so fun to watch you grow
While wishing you such luck.

Jousting with the big kids here;
Occasionally it’s clear
Your lack of life experience
Reveals your tender year.

Character and talent
Are assets you possess.
Learning how to hone them,
We watch as you progress.

Gallantly you enter,
Often stars, you win.
I envy your tenacity,
Where do I begin?

Everyone adores you
As far as I can see.
You’re under everybody’s wing
While also flying free.

Statistics is a daunting field:
In all those sums, there's truth revealed.
Or maybe trash: It's hard to say―
So many folks see disarray.

Is that vote an abberation?
Can we check the deviation?
Most are hit with desperation;
Others reach for medication.

Did the voter go askew?
Did that chop fail peer review?
He knows the voter is legit;
he used both trig and analyt.

For those who can't do sums of squares,
there is one man who really cares.
For those on Worth who have no clue
We know you're there, Mister_IQ.

I always like to see IC.
All of us do; it's not just me!
The juror in the sparkly hat
who sometimes gives our backs a pat.

A gold star for the trophy shelf!
She gives it like a Christmas elf.
But so much more importantly,
Encouragement and humor―free!

Look around for an enchantress:
Two wings of white and fairy dress.
You will find, sooner or later,
Worth's own Imagicreator.

I hereby state, and I declare
I am no kin of Anni,
She's not my mate, and not my heir,
Nor CEO, nor nanny

Now that I've made the above disclaimer
I can proceed to hail and acclaim'er
Admin of text, and fixer of bugs
Anni is Worthy of kudos and hugs

A talented writer, that is a fact
In text H2Hs, her opponents get whacked
Her contest ideas keep the text section fun
She encourages entries from everyone!

Technologically savvy, sociologically nice
Provider of comments, and help, and advice
On behalf of all textors, I'd like to proclaim
Without Anni, Worth just would not be the same!

Bored at my place of employ,
I cautiously enter the forums, lurkily
Will I be amused today? Saddened? Educated?
I scan through the topics, threadily
A poll; some seeking of advice; perhaps a rant
Topics very varied with variety

And then: I see it--

*runs through, flinging poo

Ah! Dear simian compatriots, how you amuse us all
We would like to think
We are too mature to be amused, and yet
We snicker
We snicker again

Another thread, and - wait for it-

*flings poo

Ha! How your primate antics delight us!
Enthralled, and also captivated too,
We all scream "Monkey"!
And not necessarily in the "Dance, monkey, dance!" way.

Your long, hairy hands expertly flick excrement through the threads
Opposable thumbs aiding your craft
Are you, GutterMonkey and Madmonkey2,
Are you poo-flinging perfection?
Nay, you have surpassed perfection.
You've achieved the Nirvana of virtual stool projectile launching.

But wait, there's more.
Aye, amid the flurry of poo
There is warmth
The warmth that can only come from
A steaming "Hello nube!" in the warm "Hello" forum
Thank you monkeys, for your monkeyriffic welcomings.

Thank you.

These forums
Like crowded hallways
Full of bustling conversation.

Random lives
Of random people
Together in this common space.

Exchanging
Brief stories and thoughts
The humble pieces of our lives.

I see you
Nearly ev'ry day
We mingle but so rarely touch.

Not too close
Yet not far away
Distance has no real meaning here.

I wonder
Has no one told you
That you make it so wonderful?

Unaware
That were you not here
This place would never be the same.

So thank you
For all that you do
And for being just who you are.

Cheveldae votes on text we write.
He's quiet but has good eyesight.
He balances bad voters' fives
with sevens, eights, and (sometimes) nines.

Reliable, and careful too,
he'll thoroughly give all their due.
But you won't win this juror's prize
unless you've learned how to revise.

Thank you, Chev for all you've done
to help us Textors have our fun!
You work hard to read each day
so trophies gold we can display.

Mistress of rodents, we’re calling her.
Hamsters and rats does she prefer
To every other species that there is.
She is our Hamster-Super-Whiz!

Yes, she hates sappy poetry.
Makes her eyes bleed, so says she.
But we cannot consider this.
This ode is dripping from sheer bliss.

The hamsters in her avatar
Are the cutest that there are.
They love her, and this much is true:
Mennufer, we do love you!

This admin is always busy.
Watching her just makes me dizzy.
She likes to come across as stern
(I think it's mostly kind concern).

There's something special 'bout this one:
She doesn't share in all our fun,
but bolsters those who like to write
(And does it on a chopping site!)

Works tirelessly supporting prose,
and head-to-heads we all compose.
Runs all of text-land with aplomb:
Who is this gem? Must be hbomb!

An Annie is a doll, you know.
I'm speaking of another, though.
She spells her name without the "e."
She's still a doll; that's plain to see.

Anni makes us busy bees,
dotting "i"s and crossing "t"s,
signing on at Worth midnight,
finding out what's next to write.

Will it be about mankind?
Cars, or sports? A challenge blind?
We won't know 'til then of course,
making her a vital force.

Text is small here; there's not much doubt.
It's not what Worth is all about.
Yet in this tight community,
this Anni is our unity.
