Photographing wild animals can be tricky. You need to sneak up on them using telephoto zooms and/or find something caged up behind bars at a zoo maybe. Catching the gleam or reflecting light in the animals' eye is said to be key to a great photo giving the animal a more lively appearance.
If you're at a zoo or park you're going to have to have some patience in trying to get just the right angle - and preferably one that makes the animal seem wild and not captured. Take a look at SigloV's amazing "Coyote" for an example of how you can transport your viewers into a dangerous new land.
Hit List: Domesticated animals like pets and livestock, people.
