Had lots of fun doing this! It's done in colored pencil; I didn't use any reference pictures for the dragon besides scanning through photos of snakes and poison dart frogs to get an idea as to what it might look like, and for the girl I used a photo of me- with my parents permission of course. However, since I'm the definition of computer illiterate, I can't figure out how to link the reference photo to the comments. If you want it, I'll be happy to e-mail it to you, though.

well i never, my first "real" flying animal piece

This image was a bit of a challenge for me. Perspective, drawing humans and creating a dramatic scene are some of the things I wanted to practice.

I did 2 versions. one in color and one in black and white. In this case I liked the color one better. That`s rare for me.
