To produce an image with visual contradictions, I made the stone seem delicate with a flower-like setting. I also tried to juxtapose the wood against the steel, both are holding the next element but the metal is rigid, cold and course while the bamboo is flexible and organic.

I wanted a really stripped down and elemental look.

Faucet = Metal
Stone = Earth
Bamboo = Wood
Water = uh, Water

Earth (packed inside the gourd) and fire.

What did I learn, making this shot? That gourds are very delicate, and they catch fire easily.
