What if angels were real?...but what if they were real, and nothing like we expect them to be?"
:)

Based on a story by Literature Nobel Prize Winner Gabriel Garcia Marquez, “A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings”.

(Pelayo, a coastal villager, discovers an old man with enourmous wings lying face down in the mud. The toothless creature is bald and dressed in rags. Pelayo and his wife, Elisenda suspect that he is a castaway from a ship. The couple plans to set him adrift on a raft, but they first imprison him in a chicken coop. When a large crowd gathers around the coop, Pelayo and his wife decide to charge admission to view him....and so begins the story of a very old angel...an angel of littles miracles.)

I'm a great fan of the magical realism of a great writer,to me the best living writer in the world today.

Excerpt from the book Don Quixote de la Mancha:

"What giants?" said Sancho Panza.

"Those you see there," answered his master, "with the long arms, and some have them nearly two leagues long."

"Look, your worship,'' said Sancho. "What we see there are not giants but windmills, and what seem to be their arms are the vanes that turned by the wind make the millstone go."

"It is easy to see," replied Don Quixote, "that you are not used to this business of adventures. Those are giants, and if you are afraid, away with you out of here and betake yourself to prayer, while I engage them in fierce and unequal combat."

After the sinking of a cargo ship, a single solitary lifeboat remains bobbing on the surface of the wild, blue Pacific. The crew of the surviving vessel consists of a hyena, and orangutan, a zebra with a broken leg, a 450-pound Royal Bengal tiger, and Pi Patel, a young Indian boy.

This is one of my favourite books, one which I just had to bring to life, I hope I have done it justice! Please view full before voting.

The Dark Tower I: The Gunslinger - By Stephen King

-TULL-

"There was a shrill, harried scream from behind him, and doors suddenly flew open. Forms lunged. The trap was sprung. Men in longhandles and men in dirty dungarees. Women in slacks and in faded dresses. Even children, tagging after their parents. And in every hand there was a chunk of wood or a knife.

His reaction was automatic, instantaneous, inbred. He whirled on his heels while his hands pulled the guns from their holsters, the butts heavy and sure in his hands...

The guns beat their heavy, atonal music into the air."
