In my country winter is female. She can be depicted as miidle-aged and beautiful or old and ugly, depending upon the given weather conditions, I presume ;)

I made a sketch on a piece of paper first. My plan was to have a wolf in the background, but...anyway...

Later I colored the whole thingy in Corel with no references used. I played a lot and used a whole bunch of layers to achieve the effects.

An early winter pastime for my children is hunting for first and the the best Christmas light display. Its something we don't really grow out of (come on we are all big kids). The reflection of the lights in someone’s eyes I thought would show this best. And we all hope for snow in the winter 100% better than constant rain. Drawing and painting on the Photoshop is something I have not tried before, so I hope I pulled it off.

Given such power with her soul, Anetha should of been more careful with who she trusted. Caged and tortured she is now forced to spread winter across the land for all eternity
