Scanned in from pencil sketch. Felt good to draw again. :)
PEACE
mostly pencil and a little watercolor
I created this study with a standard #2 pencil and a sketch pad. Its purpose was to experiment with how a hand grasps an object. The hand on the left is holding a drumstick in traditional grip, while the hand on the right is holding a pencil (it felt weird to hold a pencil left-handed!). I did not add any shading on the held objects so that the hands are emphasized. Please view full to see all the texture I added with pencil marks, and the reflected light details I added with a kneaded eraser (especially the last three fingers on the left hand). The thumbnail appears MUCH granier than my actual scan. Any constructive comments are appreciated.
Victorious hand (in pencil and kleenex ^.^)
This one was collecting dust for quite some time. I never liked Mona Lisa's smile that much, but I liked her hands. I hope this qualifies, it represents a combination of pencil, ink and white oil pastel.
I just love baby hands, with their chubby little fingers
