It all started with a metal fruit bowl as the biodome, then:

dead trees = cinnamon sticks
broken path = brown eggshells
pebbles = coriander
trees = broccoli
sand = raw sugar
small pond = tart shell, water and food coloring
grass in bio-dome = green tea
dry water-depraved ground = basmati rice and soy sauce
futuristic wire structure = wire whisk from my mixer
little tree greenhouses = upside down spice jars
robot farmer = wine bottle opener
farmer's bag of fertilizer = bag of tea
little air vents = tips for a cookie dough thingee
huge metal smoke stack = tube from cookie dough thingee
other thin smoke stacks = spices in tubes in a rack
atmosphere = recycling bags & cloud filter

sorry about the long list, but i used a lot. Hope you like it :-)

Whew! This was tough...but FUN! All you see is edible...ginseng root for straw, melon, pretzels, salami (which was yummy), rice, dried beans, frutus lycii (the red bits, qi zi in Chinese), shrooms and yams.

This was fun!
Sky and clouds-pastry, windmill-turnip x wafer biscuits, grass-mashed potato's, trees-broccoli, flowers-sprinkles, pond x canal-water and food dye, fences-wafers.

Green brocolli hills,
Where my heart will always be.
Please let me rest
Beneath the parsley tree.
A wet paper towel
For clouds across the sky,
Cos red light compresses,
So much, it makes me cry!

OK, it's not very good, but at least it rhymes...

Mandarins, sweet peas and corn are in the cans. Wild rice (floor), dried herbs (as bushes), and some kitchen utensils.

The best part (if you ask my son) was when we nailed the white linen tablecloth to the ceiling to have a decent background. :D

Thanks a TON to madame_ava for her advice and input and help.

It's a lava flow built from dried up sushi seaweed and lit from below with an orange light. And the poor parsley tree is about to go the way of the clove and cardomum logs and the lentil rocks...
