The tragic story of a man stranded on a desert island, who sends a message in a bottle in the hope of being rescued...

I immediately thought of oriental art, I researched this and drew the design in photoshop to use as a stencil. The characters (read clockwise from top) should read "my chinese paper art" but I don't speak chinese and am trusting the internet :)

Standard 8.5x11" paper

Used a picture from Sin City film (source) . Was fiddly, and I think I fractured my eyes doing such close work. If you look closely you can see the blade marks on the black backing paper. I scanned this image in as my camera has a cataract.

This is my curly hair from the back.

There's a story that goes with it and why I called it "After", but it's kinda sappy so I won't bore anyone with it unless somebody wants to know.
