The ancient Greeks used to believe there were only four elements: air, fire, water, and earth. In the right proportions, these could be used to make anything you wanted. We now know that it takes far more elements to make everything in the world (9, I think), but those four can still be used to make some beautiful images.

In this contest, you are to create an image that represents all four ancient elements: Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. You can make a landscape, as in the themepost, or a still life, or something completely different, as long as all four elements are represented.

And yes, we realize that outside of Los Angeles, air is invisible. Use your imagination: Show something being windblown, or steam, or clouds, a bird, a plane, Superman -- something that clearly symbolizes air.
