I tried some different and new techniques with this one, and was pleased with the result.

Don't laugh at his hat! The fireball he's about to cast is specially for people who mock his hat.

I'm soooooo Upset. I misscalculated. I was thinking all day yesterday, and most of today, that submissions ended tomorrow night, not tonight.

I was going to pull an all nighter to finish it in plenty of time for tomorrow night.

I'm crushed.

sigh, have at me, tell me how bad a planner I am.

And I have a REALLY cool WIP. That will now have to wait till the contest closes to share with you all. It's on my home machine, and I am at work.

Sigh.

My second entry to the Illustration section on Worth. This took ages - you can see from the WIP that I'm not a natural artist, but "evolved" the painting gradually, adding detail as the picture took shape.

I set myself the challenge of using no sources whatsoever, so the proportions might be a bit off.

Can't wait to see the other entries!

Witchcraft exam: Spells 201

Look closely at the picture before answering the question.
Did the spell go wrong because:
(a) The witch didn't use the proper ingredients.
(b) She didn't use the latest Wandor© ("Wandor, the best wands, to cast spells, and more").
(c) She's too old to cast spells.
(d) She cast the appropriate spell. What's wrong with that frog ?

Amongst his weaponry are fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency, and the ability to sic ravens on people. And a nice black outfit.

Last minute entry! I almost forgot about this contest. Sorry, no WIP shots.

Black and white ink on marker paper. I was trying to go for an intentionally sloppy style but it turned out more sloppy than I intended. :(

There were no references used. You can see my sketch here. I played with it in Painter. And how the wizard lost his tail...well, that is still a mystery to me. ;-)
