This is an underpainting for a master's technique of "griselle" painting. Glazes of color are placed on the grey scale underpainting.I made up the imagery from imagination, I am a strict real life observer, so maybe that paid off here.Using just grey makes this an easy technique to explore on your lunch hour. (Water mixable oils and a 5 X 7 panel). It is also fun to try different color combos in Photoshop before commiting to the painting it's self!
