In this contest, you are to write the opening paragraphs to a story set in the near or far future. Remember, this is opening paragraphs, so leave the readers hanging (they hate and love that at the same time.)
The rules of the game are thus: Write the opening paragraphs to a futurist story. A 300 word limit will be strictly enforced. Keep in mind that profanity is not acceptable.
