Creating a dynamic cover according to your specifications, including all the elements you asked for (people, copyleft symbol, bar code space, book summary space on the back), and portrays a sense of diversity, dynamics, action, and software/ programming. All source images used are taken from a free stock photo site and included in the corporate folder upload. The font is Charis SIL for consistency.

The two hands are the primary focus of this design to represent different people contributing to software development with their own ideas/building blocks. The subtle binary imagery in the background is used to give an immediate sense of data/coding. If desired, the copyleft symbol could also be included as imagery on the blocks, but for now I've left them blank to keep the design clean and the message simple.Created with 5mm bleed and a 10mm spine (which can be removed if needed).The two images used are taken from the free stock image site http://www.sxc.hu/. The image numbers are 1030377_71802408 and 1030378_85491021. I checked the license of both images and they are suitable for this purpose, and they are also royalty-free. I can provide the license details if needed. The header font I used is freeware (Albertino), as the client preferred. The body copy is not (Frutiger), though this could be replaced with something standard and freely available like Helvetica
