It's nearly the end of the year! Hooray!! HAPPY NEW YEAR! And who knows what's going to happen in 2009? Well, YOU do.
In this contest we want you to create a prediction of a newsworthy event you think might happen in the next 12 months. It could be a serious prediction or a crazy prediction. Will polar bears migrate to the US because of the melting polar cap? Will gas prices hit $24 a gallon? Will Obama outlaw circus clowns? Might Canada invade the US, as in the themepost?

You can show the event as a newspaper or magazine front page, or as an article, or as a TV news report, or just as a photo.

PLEASE NOTE: the rule against entries with blatantly political messages will be slightly relaxed for this contest, but we will still disqualify entries that go too far. If there's a chance that your entry might offend anyone of a certain political persuasion then you should rethink it.

Note: you may not place more than TWO entries in this contest. We expect you to spend the time working on one or two awesome entries rather than three or four average entries.
