Not every animal that dies becomes a fossil. In fact, the odds are astronomical. Entire species may come and go and never leave a single fossil record behind. Which means, of all the millions of animals that have gone extinct, we’re not even aware most of them ever existed. It’s time for you to rectify that.
Show us an animal from Earth’s past. A new form of dinosaur would be great, but don’t forget all of the strange mammals that lived alongside the mammoths and giant sloths. Show them in their natural habitat, or posed in a museum case. Don’t just submit fifty variations of a T. Rex - be wildly creative. After all, who’s going to be able to tell you your animal never existed for real?
