The common French phrase, la petite mort, translates as "the little death" in English (a reference to sexual climax). I took that phrase and essentially created an entity for it. Quick WIP. I had so much fun with the feathery details and ribbons, especially. And finally letting go of my "need" to paint the typical, full scenes I usually do... it's incredibly freeing to step away from my self-imposed norm for once.
