This is a natural evolution of last year's poster, using royalty-free images from stock.xchng http://www.sxc.hu Images numbers: 827787_49059240, 919850_53317178, and 889070_54031274
I did some research on design that relates to websites, logos and posters about underwater. After seeing so many posters with striking blue and yellow colours that were made in Word (not really a design-program), I felt I needed to bring a little style to this project. This is my very first attempt to enter a competition and I've only been using Photoshop for less than a year so I'd like to encourage constructive critique to help my improvement. Many ThanksPhoto is from http://www.sxc.hu/browse.phtml?f=download&id=1019625 Fonts used: Zapfino, Century GothicThe other things on poster were drawn by me.
Here is my submission...I created another version of the poster that has a softer, less bold, color pallet. I included it as a page in the InDesign document in my working files if the client would like to view it.

The design has been kept really simple & unique. The reef Fishes have been taken from Liza's painting of the reef and retouched. the reef painting scan can be viewed here http://www.lizasreef.com/LIZA'S%20REEF/Images%20LR/Flying%20Fish.jpg The Preview image is the concept of text added on the bassis of last year's poster image.the version without the pre arranged text can be seen here http://rookery2.viary.com/storagev12/1174500/1174617_d7e4.jpg all colors are customiseable, and i'll be glad to customise them as per the clients needs.
