Take a photograph that has the feeling of the paintings by the Old Masters. There is so much to learn about lighting and composition. Remember you can do portraits, landscapes, still-lifes... The Internet is overflowing with wonderful examples for you to use as your references. The end result can be breathtaking and strikingly believable as "Silence" by Marian.
