Made with items I found in a cheap shop.

Parts used:
Metal flower vase-stand
Old desktop lamp
Sugar pourer (the green glass)
Gear clock
Sink strainer
Coat Hangers

Thanks to my partner for the idea of using plastic coated coathangers as both support and power-supply to the lamp!

(PLEASE NOTE: The Bulb is a 12v halogen, being run from a 12v transformer built into the plug. Anything higher would be dangerous running through coathangers)

Works great and makes a perfect addition to our TV table.

I don't know how this works - I just followed the instructions the alien voices gave me.

Things have not got entirely well, but it seems I have gotten there in the end.

What I do know is that since the first test firing two weeks ago my cat has lost part of his tail, there is a large hole in my living-room wall, and I haven't seen my wife for at least a week.

But the device appears to work, so all is not as bad at it first seemed.
