Fun times with polymer clay, acrylic paint and automotive clear coat.

100% polymer clay except a short length of wire to make sure the handle stays attached to the lid.

It is about 8" (20cm) wide, 5" (12cm) deep and 6" (15cm) tall.

Here is a quick shot to give you an idea of the construction process.

The "tiles" are thin crosswise slices of multiple strands of clay (appropriate sizes and colors) rolled and pressed together.

The clay in the photo is still soft and I pressed the tiles into it and baked again.

This little box is 3" square.

I used the simple box video here and then decorated it. :) I had fun :D

Made from my collection of slide film.I used tape, hot glue, and plaster paper on the inside for strenght.
Their is a paper clip glued to the back to hold the lid up for photographing.

I also used teeny tiny hinges to make the lid functional.
