Surrealism is an artistic, cultural, and intellectual movement oriented toward the liberation of the mind by emphasizing the critical and imaginative faculties of the "unconscious mind" and the attainment of a state different from, "more than", and ultimately "truer" than everyday reality: the "sur-real", or "more than real".

This artistic movement attempts to express the workings of the subconscious and is characterized by fantastic imagery and/or incongruous juxtaposition of subject matter.

Digital illustrations, real life sketches, line art, paintings or cartoons are acceptable (remember - no 3d apps). Please take the extra few minutes and list/link your references, as per the illustration guidelines.
