No-one expects the Galactic Inquisition!

Painted in Photoshop, no references used.

The larger of the two species has landed on a planet of small creatures. The smaller ones put up a fight.

The human patrol ship found cyborg agent X5 at twilight. Unfortunately for them, she was armed.

References: pose, gun (these were the inspiration, though mine's a lot different), and a beach footprint photo. For the metalwork, this, this and this, and endlessly looking at motorcycles outside.

Thank you so much to two worthians! One who was like a saint offering a LOT of great general art advice, and the other whose feedback on this image transformed it like magic!

And so, the elegant sport of Beltin begins, and we join our valiant hero’s about 4 loudtics (+- 2 hours) into the bout with neither one conceding anything to the other.

The superb mediator closely scrutinises each and every blow inflicted by the Ignoramus and the Crustasian, judging with lightning quick impunity the legality of each strike.
Some argue that the mediators’ role is rather needless, as because there are no actual rules in the gentle art of beltin and that no-one in its 256 cycle history has ever been penalised, it seems a bit of a lost cause.
Luckily such critics are generally considered heretics and cretins who ‘Just don’t get it’, by the vast majority of the known universe.

So finally, after a bout of about 7 loudtics, the Crustasian emerges the victorious champion, as the Ignoramus fails to get to his feet after being struck ten times in succession in the general groin area with a ‘ballin bat’ – the standard manner in which a match is decided.
There are those who maintain that this is one of the reasons, the Crustasian may have a long and illustrious career ahead of him.

Here we have the privilege of bearing witness to one of the galaxies premier cyclic sporting events, the GBF heavyweight ‘Beltin’ final.
Broadcast to over 36 systems and with 91.8 trillion viewers, it is the ultimate in prime time viewing.

On the left is the reigning beltin champion, Zuuuma’l from the planet Ignoram in the Afrocostic system.
Weighing in at 24 chunks (120 Kg), he has the advantage of super-strength, but is lacking in speed, agility and smarts.

On the right, weighing in at 22 chunks (mostly in the shell) is the 54 cycle old (+- 108 yr) ‘Terry’ from Crustasia planet in the Aquaramic system.
This relatively young newcomer enjoys phenomenal reach with his 4 striking appendages, but is compromised by his weak balance.

The mediator as everyone knows is the famous Moerman from Qadrelon 6, the perfect choice for mediator, for as they say on Q6 :
“reetdnah yj teom, ein new nak ein yj taW” - a very applicable statement indeed, as I’m sure you will agree.

Created by scientists thounds of years from now- No. 13 return to the begining of time to manipulate all life that'll ever exist. No more blood will be shed- no more wars, no more suffering, but at the price of our freedom. Was it worth it?

I made the planets in Paint.NET and the surrounding space in Corel Photo-Paint. It was fun to make. Everything in the image is 100% original.

The discussion on whether to twiddle or not has got way out of hand.
