They look different from afar than they do close up. Different inside than from the outside. Towers change your sense of scale depending on where you are when you look at them, and different characteristics become important from different locations.
Madame_ava's "Don't Fall over Backwards" gives a great sense of impending size and height and shows another good technique - look up.
Composition will be key in this contest, so take your time to find the right angle. And remember to make the light work for you.
The rules for this contest are thus: Take a picture of a tower or steeple, or other really tall part of a building.
