In this contest, we're going to practice a specific composition type - that of composing for a square frame or crop. This is a basic technique when you want to fill your frame or create a more abstract kind of shot since it can be used to get rid of distractions around the main subject and emphasize the inherent shapes of your scene. Also, secondary elements and their position become increasingly important in the limited space.

Experiment with all kinds of composition techniques, and remember to look at the shaps inherent in your subject like HAphoto did with Window Model.

Tip:
In most image editing software, to make sure your crop is exactly square, you can hold the shift key down while you use the crop tool or make a cropping selection.

Hit List:
Flowers, bugs and creepy-crawlies, pets. Use these and be disqualified.
