The act of invention is a fluid process: often the early designs of new creations don't work nearly as well as the finished product. Have you ever wondered what the earliest versions of the everyday items you use throughout your day were like? Perhaps the first dishwasher had large spinning brushes inside it like a car wash which broke all the dishes. Maybe the first hair dryer shot flames instead of hot air and set people on fire. Maybe the the early TV remote controls were plastic fingers on extendable poles.

In this contest we want you to create a prototype for a famous product, character or object which is woefully inefficient or badly designed in comparison to the current model, the funnier the better.

Have fun, be creative!, keep it clean, follow the Contest Rules (PDF file) please, and be careful to avoid using cliché³® You will have 48 hours to submit so make your entry count! As always, quality is a must. We'll remove poor images no matter how much we like you.
