Rare Photograph of the Extinct Bald-humped Bare-shinned Arctic Camel.The Arctic Camel sports thick off-white fur along its neck, body and thighs, but due to unfortunate genetics remains bare on its hump and shins. This domesticated breed cannot survive the harsh arctic climate without human intervention. Arctic camel herders pile insulating sacks on the camel's hump to help the camel retain body heat. Insulation must also be laid onto the snow before the camel can lay it's body down. Due to these inconveniences, locals have abandoned the practice of raising and using the Arctic Camel for transporting goods across ice floes. Reports say that the species have died out but recent explorers have sighted tracks that are similar to those of this rare statuesque beauty.Background from Wikimedia.
