fight and flight - what a frightful sight references
At first I wanted to write down the story here, but I decided not to and just let the viewer think of their own story :).Here is a close up of the faces.
I decided to show someone at the moment of deciding whether to fight or flee. So, here we have some sort of spy being spotted by the town watch.Done most of this weeks ago and then set it aside to finish later. Other stuff came up though and I couldn't give it the finish I wanted to.Here's a WIP for those interested. It started as a pencil sketch done in my local pub.
Suddenly the situation turned lethal as a horde of undead attacked from all sides. Lord Vader's cool and methodical response was equally deadly as he systematically sent the abominations back to the realm of the dead.I've been reading Death Troopers. It to me (at least the premise....) is the perfect storm of things I love! Star Wars, and Zombies!!!I was also inspired in part by this promo image for the book..... ( I just hope I captured the same sort of vibe!)Please let me know if you like the image!Special thanks to yotambonehbait for the private critique!
Practicing some new techniques. Feedback would be more than welcome.Process here
I read all comments, opinions and criticism welcomed >=P
***Full view for details!***Funtimes! I had a blast doing this. The sea was storming, the Kraken poked his head from beneath the waves to investigate. The captain pointed strongly against the wind and demanded the crew change course.
Women are picky... maybe she doesn't acquire a taste for this old knight.
Oddly, I got the idea for this watching groundhogs in a field. If you try to chase one, they just scurry down a nearby hole. And from there it was just a small jump to a nighttime scene with a drow elf escaping with a glowing crystal by leaping down into a deep cave where no one dares follow.WIP (yep, we're still allowed to have them in illo)References: elf figure drawn from life (a real live person--sadly, no elves were available to model), gem drawn with the help of this tutorial, and the rest was trial and error.Thank you for the critique, mystery Worthian!
Ink on bristol board. Faced with an onslaught of lazer fire, the soldier looks within for the courage to follow his comrades storming the defences on Zylon Prime, and is found wanting. The original sketch ishere
