CONTEST DESCRIPTION

In this free contest, your task is to design a logo for Nexos, they provide IT consulting, engineering and outsourcing services from the data center to the desktop or mobile device. Their skills include Windows and UNIX infrastructure, networking, storage, security, virtualization, unified communication, IT management and selected business applications. Their customers are medium sized and large enterprises in Switzerland, including large multinational companies. The key values why customers choose them are fairness, profound knowledge, professionalism, reliability and direct personal contact. For more information see the website. Please keep in mind that the website is under construction and will be re-designed around the logo.

The design will appear on all company branding and advertising (i.e. website, business cards, letterheads, brochures, trade show banners, signs, t-shirts, giveaways, etc...).

PRIZES

• The top entry that the client chooses will receive $500.
  


• The top voting winner will get 100 credits.

CLIENT RULES

• Logos must contain the words "Nexos". This is not cAsE SeNsItIvE.
  


• The logo can contain any number of colors, but the logo should also be suitable for two color and B/W printing. Please include examples for the color reduced variants.
  


• Entries may contain gradients. The client prefers a logo that will work with and without gradients.
  


• The logo style must be catchy, clean and business professional. Their target audience is CEOs, CIOs, IT managers and IT professionals.
  


• Your logo should represent any combination of being dynamic, adapt to change, strength, trust and professionalism. The logo should give the viewer the feeling that they will receive valuable and accurate advice and service from this company.
  


• The logo can contain dynamic elements like waves and curls or it can be an evolution/re-design of the existing logo. The symbol should be able to stand alone without the company name.
  


• No typical computer/IT symbols may be used.
  


• Font used (if not completely custom) must be free or inexpensive (preferably public domain). Please upload your font to your corporate files area.
  


• Logo files must be Illustrator vector (.eps). Please keep in mind that the client will be changing and editing your files.
  


• Before entering this contest you must read this thread.

GENERAL RULES

• Please upload your vector file (.ai or .eps) to the corporate files attachment area at the time you submit an entry (you will be prompted after uploading your image).
  


• Do not enter slight variations of your logo as separate entries. Enter them as a single entry.
  


• Fancy background presentation is not allowed. Solid color backgrounds, that's it.
  


• Please leave some white space at the bottom of your entry so the worth1000 watermark doesn't overlap it.

• The client will be granted the full rights to all aspects of the submission of their choice as a work-for-hire in exchange for the prize mentioned above.
