Tired of putting up the same old socks on the chimney each year? Or do you feel you need some little holiday cheer on your feet? Then you're in for a socking experience!

The rules: Take one sock. Decorate it to reflect the holiday season.

It has to be a real sock, no sock made of paper or plastic or some such. A real, plain, normal sock.

Decorate it in any way you like, adding whatever items you want. Apply paint, glue fuzzy stuff on it, sew applications on it, stitch beads on it, go wild! Wearing holiday socks will be so much more fun, as you can see with hickhick33's fabulous socks in the themepost.

Only restriction: The sock still has to be recognizable when you are done.

Upload a photo of your decorated sock. Just one photo, no collages! You can link to different views of your sock in your author's comments, if you want to.
Arrange the sock in front of a plain background. You can take a photo of the sock on a foot, is this looks better, but remember: The sock has to be the main subject of your photo.
Although this is not a photo contest, make sure your sock is well displayed and in focus, voters tend to be cruels when they cannot see your creation properly.
