In tonight's photo effects matchup we have an 8-way matchup featuring Keveller vs. DragonTat7 vs. Tygerson vs. burninin vs. ARMS vs. Emdien vs. MadameThenadier vs. solipsism.

They have chosen "FANTASY 2.0 XI: Boxes, Chests, Crates" as the theme for their match and the stakes are bragging rights.

The rules for this contest are thus: This month's entry must include images in an environment that contains at least one box, crate, or chest. They don't have to be the main feature, but can be. (I will be lenient on what type of storage container is a box, but chest does not mean the anatomic variety).

Of course you must make your own work, but a quick sampler for you of ideas that others have done show crates spilling contents out, people peeking in, crates in a wharf-like scene, being dropped out of a ship, a gunfight with people hiding behind them, colonists being dropped off, dragons curled around them, cargo bays of spaceships with infinite cargo, jurassic park t-rex's being unloaded with people dying, monsters in small cages at a space petstore, severed heads dripping blood in a wet cardboard box, pandora's box, a fancy girly music box, swarthy sailors on a dock playing a concertina among the crates, rats running around on crates on a dock, doom like characters blowing up crates for points, the scene from johnny mnemonic where he is unpacking all the virtual reality equipment with all bubble wrap around, I would even allow barrels to be crates if you really want. I really wanted to do a jack in the box...I think there are lots of interesting interpretations. The box/crate/chest can be just background ambiance decoration, or the subject itself.

All normal Worth photo effects rules apply unless otherwise stated above.

The players will have until 11:59 pm Worth time on January 1 to submit their entries, followed by a voting period of 3 days.

Competitors are reminded to maintain anonymity during the contest.

Good luck!
