This is an Advanced level contest

-----------------------------------------------------
In this contest you are to take a photograph, taken by you and therefore probably quite modern, and make it look like an aged photograph. You should try to create an atmosphere in the final piece.

The rules of this game are thus: Create a photo that looks aged.

Rules Clarifications:

* You can use Photoshop to add scratches and other tools to add that old time feel to it as in LadyMin's very beautiful "By the Lake".

* For this contest borders are allowed, including old time frames and white fake print borders with drop shadows.

* No re-compositioning of scene elements will be allowed, but border elements may be added or scanned from other images. You may clone but please do not take elements from more than one image and recompose them to make something look completely different from what you originally shot. You may however clone out something that you feel will make your image look too modern.

The more authentically old looking the image is, the better it should do. That doesn't necessarily mean you *have* to add scratches or make it look like a beat up print. It could be something along the lines of a long exposure of a portrait where the person's eyes move a bit, so they get that kinda spaced look. Or even that mod 60's kinda look. Selective desat or color balance is okay too.

You are encouraged to link to an outside "anonymous" site such as imageshack to show us the original. Linked or not, you must have your original on hand as we may want to verify it.

Resources: Take a look at the fantastic photo aging tutorial that LadyMin created for some ideas on how to start.
