CONTEST DESCRIPTION
In this free contest, your task is to design a logo for Brilliant High, Charter Public High Schools for students ages 15-21. They are charter public high schools designed with a high tech approach serving the at-risk and dropout student population as well as students who just want a better education experience than the traditional high school approach. They focus on getting kids to graduate from high school, college and career readiness. Their mission statement is "Equality and prosperity through education -individualized for each student". The logo be used for marketing and communications, student enrollment, clothing and other school identity needs. The logo will appear on signage, business cards, website, letterhead, brochures, clothing, other common marketing and PR applications.
PRIZES
- The top entry that the client chooses will receive $175.
- The top voting winner will get 100 credits.
CLIENT RULES
- Logos must contain the words "Brilliant High". This is not cAsE SeNsItIvE.
- The logo can contain any number of colors. Neon shades seem to appeal to their urban, multi ethnic students.
- Entries may contain gradients.
- The logo style must be a bit funky, edgy, urban and a little sophisticated. Their students are multi-ethnic high schools kids with a sort of urban independent edge to them. It should not be too young, no grade school look or kiddy colors should be used. You must take into account the website when designing your logo. Their target audience is high school age students 15 to 21 and their parents or guardians who may be in their 30's to 60's. Also community based organizations and non-profits.
- Your logo should represent a cool place to go to high school, I can do it, it's cool to be at Brilliant High, you don't have to be brilliant to attend a Brilliant high school, the school has an urban contemporary edge.
- Some ideas they had were creative use of the Brilliant lettering, high tech, yet simple. Something urban high school kids would like to have on their school t-shirts. They want them to be proud of their shirts and happy to wear them after they leave the school too.
- No pencils, crayons, toys, flowers, books, faces or globes may be used.
- Any font may be used. Please upload your font to your corporate files area.
- The client prefers Illustrator vector files (.ai or .eps).

GENERAL RULES
- Please upload your vector file (.ai or .eps), to the corporate files attachment area at the time you submit an entry (you will be prompted after uploading your image).
- Do not enter slight variations of your logo as separate entries. Enter them as a single entry.
- Fancy background presentation is not allowed. Solid color backgrounds, that's it.
- Please leave some white space at the bottom of your entry so the worth1000 watermark doesn't overlap it.
- Any questions about what is desired by the client may be sent to corporate@worth1000.com.
- The client will be granted the full rights to all aspects of the submission of their choice as a work-for-hire in exchange for the prize mentioned above.
