CONTEST DESCRIPTION

In this free contest, your task is to design a logo for TurboGas, a research project tasked with generating a new computer model for simulating the emissions of CO2 and NOx from aircraft engines. The project aims to generate a computer model that predicts the emissions of turbofan aircraft engines during flight. When finished, this model will be used to optimize flight trajectories and aircraft configurations to reduce global emissions of CO2, NOx, and water emissions. The project falls under the "System for Green Operations" topic of the CleanSky initiative. More information can be found here.

The logo will be used on website and reports. The client would like to have two versions: a large "square" one for the website and report covers; and a smaller "rectangular" one that can be used on header of every page of a report. The design will appear on website, presentations and published reports.

PRIZES

• The top entry that the client chooses will receive $150.
  


• The top voting winner will get 100 credits.

CLIENT RULES

• Logos must contain the words "TurboGas". This is not cAsE SeNsItIvE.
  


• The logo can contain any number of colors. No limit, but simplicity is preferred. It would be better for it to not be black and white.
  


• Entries may contain gradients, but simplicity is preferred.
  


• The logo style must be professional, but eye catching. Nothing too complicated. The target audience is persons working within aviation industry, aviation research arenas and in aviation policy. Companies include Airbus, Boeing, Qinetiq, Thales, Eurocontrol, etc...
  


• Your logo should represent aircraft engine emissions and the environment. Values to promote are environmental-friendliness, innovation, research, rigor, excellence, etc..
  


• The client is open to symbol options. Aircraft, turbojet engine, flows around and within engine/aircraft may be used. Examples of logo's they like are erat, TRACECA, SESAR and mime.
  


• No black smoke or soot from engines may be used.
  


• Any font may be used. Please upload your font to your corporate files area.
  


• The client would like you to upload JPEG, PNG and EPS files.
  


• Before entering this contest you must read this thread.

GENERAL RULES

• Please upload your vector file (.ai or .eps) or high resolution photoshop files with all layers and elements intact (.psd), to the corporate files attachment area at the time you submit an entry (you will be prompted after uploading your image).
  


• Do not enter slight variations of your logo as separate entries. Enter them as a single entry.
  


• Fancy background presentation is not allowed. Solid color backgrounds, that's it.
  


• Please leave some white space at the bottom of your entry so the worth1000 watermark doesn't overlap it.

• The client will be granted the full rights to all aspects of the submission of their choice as a work-for-hire in exchange for the prize mentioned above.
