Test your equipment and creativity by taking photographs in near darkness. The themepost showing Florence Cathedral is great example of a night shot by stadsman.
Some digital cameras may have problems with long exposure but film cameras will have no problem at all. You can also take darker pictures with your digital camera and adjust them with levels in Photoshop. The general theme of the photo should be darkness or nighttime.
The rules of this contest are thus: Take a picture of a scene or object that is in darkness or night. Make sure the photograph gives no hint of sunlight or daytime. Creativity and composition is key for this contest.
