Throughout history ritual dolls have been used in many customs and for a variety of reasons. Probably the most widely-known ritual dolls are those of a cursing nature, referred to as "Voodoo" dolls. According to belief, one can create a miniature effigy to represent a specific person in order to affect that person with malevolence of some sort (sticking the doll with needles, binding its arms or legs, or tearing off limbs completely). The poppets are often hand-stitched and stuffed with straw or other materials, but they bear a strong physical resemblance to whomever they're supposed to represent.

For this contest, we want you to create a voodoo doll of a celebrity, as davidowens has done with his brilliant Marilyn Manson voodoo poppet. Feel free to treat that doll accordingly --- stick it with pins, light it on fire, wrap it in barbed wire... whatever you fancy. Just remember to create your doll in the likeness of the celebrity it's supposed to be representing.
