I thought it best to simply put her back as close to original colors as possible.
I just tried to do a very good re-coloring job on this one. It's about 85% Hue/Saturation Layers. I Googled "Betty Jane" to get some hints on color scheme and found that this is apparently a widely copied plane by WWII enthusiasts. The hardest part was knowing what parts to not color... Honest feedback appreciated, and please view full to get all the details.

This is my first ever attempt at colorizing an b/w image. I really liked it! I know this look as a w.i.p. because i didn't do all the details but with the technical problems of worth1000 I started very late and now i ran out of time. I still didn't want to miss the contest so here's my entry!
I did not know what kind of plane this was and had no reference colours
