Inspired by St. George and the Dragon by Jacopo Tintoretto, painted circa mid-16th century. Reference/Original here. The style I've used here is my personal mix of fantasy alien Jim Henson-inspired elements (eg. the Princess' nose, in case you paniced there), and I emphasised the battle between the Saint and the Dragon as more emotional and intense (the torn clothes, wounds, upturned earth, the cheering crowd atop the fortress walls) than the original. I omitted the corpse from the original because I thought it looked quite random as a solitary semi-naked figure (the dragon's lunch?), so I replaced him with a damaged shield instead.
Yeah, so I couldn't come up with an idea, so thanks for the suggestion...Hope you like it.Source:http://artmodel.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/jan_vermeer_van_delft_007.jpg P.S. Textures made in photoshop with brushes and filters.

Do not annoy sunbathing goddesses, for they are subtle and handy with a flyswatter. My take on what happens next after The Birth of Venus by Alexandre Cabanel, here. Created in a combination of Illustrator CS3 and Photoshop CS3.
I haven't drawn my original lizard character in a long time, and this seemed a good place to do a new pic. The creation of man was my inspiration and you can see the pic here http://larryavisbrown.homestead.com/files/OT_history/unit1/Michelangelo_CreationAdam.jpg
