After the reign of terror of Jack the Ripper, London was shocked by another series of crimes no less terrifying known as the Meerkat Murders. History does not remember them as they were overshadowed by their more infamous predecessor. There were many similarities: the killer was thought to be a well-educated gentleman, possibly a surgeon due to the medically precise mutilation of the victims. They were definitely copy kat (meerkat, that is) killings.

Here's the Meerkat version of Michaelangelo's David. I had to build this piece by piece from several meerkat pictures and color correct everything to match the original David. Most shadows and color tonalities were manualy painted using brush tool, color replacement tool, burn tool, dodge tool, etc. I hope you guys like it.
