This month's theme is "Artsy Fartsy"
While we may use the words "Abstract, Pop Art, Dadaism, Expressionism, and Surrealism" to best describe stylistically what this contest means, the point is really to express an idea with non-literal subject matter. Or, as the wiknets tells us: it's "a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world."
What the heck does that mean? Glad I asked. One of the key components of abstractish art is depart a bit (or a lot!) from reality. Loose the shackles of the familiar rules of nature to get your point across.
- It may help (the people voting on your entry!) to offer some explanation in your comments, be it an expansion on the tile, your thought/creative process, or just leave them guessing with clues.
- This is a HIGHLY SUBJECTIVE and loosely-defined theme! Get your ideas in early, and if you're not sure if yours fits the theme, please feel free to send a message your admins, lorem or nik.
- With this contest, the safest bet is to stay far on the abstract side of reality and not dance in gray areas.

The rules of the game are thus: In any style or medium create and entry depicting the theme "Artsy Fartsy" in accordance with Worth's illustration contest rules and the Calendar Series rules. NO PHOTO TRACING OR PAINTOVERS. You'll have all month for this contest, so make your submission count.
